The architectural design of the exterior and interior remodel for the ranch style home was by Don Caperton, owner of The Caperton Group. Don started with the existing structure, completely redesigned the interior floor plan and overhauled the exterior with guidelines from the clients, Greg and Lori, as well as Nick.

Christy Drew of Gary Riggs Interiors working with the clients on all interior selections, finishes, colors, room furniture layouts, and interior design, is responsible for pulling it all together.

The house was built in the mid 1950's and the clients desired to keep the home a single story pier and beam with the original masonry and roof pitch in keeping the architectural integrity of the house.

The project involves totally gutting, completely renovating, and an addition of more usable footage. The ceilings are being raised from 8 ft. to 10 ft. in major areas. Everything is new, including the kitchen, master bedroom suite with a new large master bath, family room, powder bath, and study.

When the renovation is complete it will truly enhance the neighborhood. In terms of high energy efficiency this house will exceed the new energy code for Dallas.
